Has anyone used stamps.com and willing to share their experience/review?

Has anyone used stamps.com to manage their shipment before?

Few things we'd like to understand:

- In practice, is the discount significantly better than just setting up a business account for FedEx, USPS, UPS, DHL?

- How easy it is to track the shipping?

- Unlimited free shipment: this sounds too good to be true. Is it for all types of shipment?

    Stamps.com charges a monthly fee, don't they? Then you pay by weight and size of each box, just like normal. So the savings with Stamps.com particularly depends on the volume you ship each month.

    I switched to PirateShip.com. It has no monthly fee, and is pretty cheap. I use USPS, and PirateShip gives me a 7-30% discount on USPS shipping depending on where I am shipping and the weight/size of the box. East coast shipping is cheaper, and the discount is usually smaller, but shipping to the west coast can save me over $1 per box on USPS.

    PirateShip.com then will automatically send a "shipped" email to my customer with tracking information.
