Fun, exotic dessert recipe ideas!?

Hi all,

I would love to get any ideas of unique desserts you have eaten or made yourself. Things that stick out in your mind as being really good, but not that common? Desserts that maybe had a unique spice or unusual ingredient(s)? Or anything you absolutely love and find is too much of a hassle to bake yourself?

I'm big on fruit, so a lot of the flavours from items like starfruit, guava, etc. really stick out.

I really like frangipane cake, an Italian dessert made from almonds.

Also adding typically "eastern" spices to regular dishes can really spice them up and make them a lot more flavourful and intriquing, such as cardamom, cloves, nutmeg.

I once made a side dish for Chilean Sea Bass from blackberries and French Tarragon (https://www.instagram.com/p/Begz4X-HAl-/?hl=en&taken-by=_alex.singh) that was really good and I could see being incorporated into a dessert.

Lastly, I've tried making French macaroons myself (https://www.instagram.com/p/BeOB5ybHQ3m/?hl=en&taken-by=_alex.singh) but they're known for being very hard to get right.

Coconut is a rage right now - I think something feasible for your setup might be Coconut Cream Pound Cake or Angel Cake or Coconut Cream Pie Bars or Coconut Cream Pie Gooey Bars <3

A HUGE favorite right now is the Japanese Cheesecake (the one that jiggles) but those aren't the easiest to make.
