Listen to our Podcast

We have put together our first podcast, and edited it. I will upload it, if anyone is interested in taking a listen and giving us some gentle feedback, knowing we have room for growth/improvement Slight smile

  • Jason-  Listening so far, the volume in different sections goes up and down.

I love the questions you ask, and I love that you are showcasing a cool teacher (not just your own expertise).

One thought: If you were to do this each month, perhaps one month might be a teacher recognition.  You could do an engagement with your target audience by having them nominate and vote for their favorite teacher to be showcased.  And perhaps award the winning teacher with a free box?   You could use that as 2 touchpoints -- one email to solicit nominations, one email to announce results with a short description, interview, and picture of the awesome teacher.

  • Wow, this is really impressive; great work! I've listed out feedback below:

    • Very informative and engaging. Even as someone outside the field, I feel as if the podcast was able to successfully engage me as a listener.
    • There were a few times when the interviewee would speak for a while and then you or your wife would summarize what the person said. I think this was a really good tactic to make sure that the important points were driven home.
    • The video's volume needs to be equalized. The interviewee was very loud and you were much quieter in comparison. I can help with figuring out how to do this when I get back; it's an issue we've had to deal with in our videos before.
    • There are some instances where I heard a beep or shuffling in the background. I've emailed you a pdf from one of my design classes that talks about how to remove that, which I'd be happy to share with anyone else as well!
  • I agree with the points that Alex and Dawn brought up before, I was surprisingly engaged throughout the podcast but also noticed the sound issues.

The only useful point I'll add is that in the beginning intro, I don't remember hearing you two mention how to get access to Pampered Teacher. Maybe just peppering in your URL so people can visit you would be a good idea.

  • I can't make it work for me! But, I've been meaning to mention this lady who recently crossed my path, if you get to the point where you want to outsource the editing...
