Do you like receiving postcards?

I am trying to figure out ways to market my 360 tours, one of my thoughts is to use QR codes on postcards and send postcards to people. They would get a picture of the National Park and a QR code that would take them on a virtual tour of that specific trail

  • I love getting postcards -- if they have a pretty picture, I'll post them somewhere in my house to make a corner look prettier for a little bit.

On the other hand, I don't think I have ever taken advantage of the QR code -- maybe I'm too old...  Since you are trying to promote through the QR code, not sure it's helpful for me to like the postcard, other than to bring a little joy in my life!

  • I love getting post cards but that is usually under the condition that it is something I receive from a friend/family member. If it's not from a friend/family member, it might just look like a mail flyer. The beautiful photo would definitely help but maybe it'd be considered junk mail. Mail marketing is hard and costly...

  • Going off what  and said -

I also don't use QR codes and also take things from the mail pretty quickly to the recycling bin. What if they were usable blank postcards that people could send to one another (rather than you sending them to people) but that had your website info and indicated they could visit there to get 360 tours? Then people can send them out to their networks and they're going to select them for people who would be interested.

High Tor Gear Exchange might be a great place to distribute them locally (or other outdoor stores / river rafting companies / etc).
