I'm not 100% sure I can help with what you need but I can definitely give it a shot and come take a look! Also Aneesh Dhawan will be out of the office for meetings until Wednesday but he has some experience with this as well. 

Did you try going to plugins? If you search 'landing page' there are lots of options that pop up.  I asked a similar question during a chat with wordpress (complimentary with a business subscription) and that's what he suggested.
